I am a Director in PwC’s Sydney office, with more than 25 years experience advising on Australian tax. Almost 7 years ago I returned to private practice having spent nearly a decade in-house at a global property and infrastructure company headquartered in Australia.I pride myself on having a deep understanding of the issues facing in-house tax teams particularly as they relate to the property and media industries. These include the importance of tax risk management, development of tax governance frameworks, group tax policies and tax risk reporting. Since returning to private practice, I have harnessed my understanding of in-house corporate environments to build a flexible tax compliance delivery model that addresses the unique needs of individual clients. Clients value my ability to balance tax risk management and value creation. My experience extends to advising on a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, public-private partnerships, structuring of domestic and international investment funds and capital management. To all my projects, I bring a unique understanding of the commercial issues underpinning the advice I provide as well as tried and tested project management skills.
