Knowledgable on bills of high interest, or bills that directly affected Senate District 38 in order to answer incoming questions regarding legislative bills of high interest or any that affected California Senate District 38. Additional responsibilities included aiding staff members in projects such as:Making brochuresDelivering certificates of recognitionScheduling for meetings or eventsPreparing equipment necessary for legislative eventsAttending events on behalf of staff members/ Senator Joel Anderson After completing 125 hours as an Intern, I was offered the option of becoming an Executive Legislative Intern, which meant additional responsibilities and opportunities to develop skills in professional environments. As an Executive Intern, I was solely responsible for management and execution of California Contemporary Arts Exhibition for California Senate District 38 (February 2017- May 2017). This program is conducted every other year and is designed to showcase different artwork from their respective Senate districts in California. As lead intern on the project I was responsible for:- designing pamphlets and other social media announcements- coordinating with local interest groups to receive submissions- answering any questions or issues for Senate District 38 regarding the exhibition- recruiting judges and developing scoring procedures- creating a database of artwork and recording constituent information for future followup- conducting interviews of winner and other artists who submitted work- creating and delivering certificates to all who participated- hosting a Photo day with Senator Joel Anderson for participants
