I worked as a Student Caller to fundraise for the University of Sussex SussexFund. In this role I was responsible for contacting alumni on behalf of the university, maintaining good relationships with former students, telling them about upcoming events, and building rapport to encourage them to donate.Through this role I further developed skills such as; being a good communicator, developing rapport over the telephone, handling personal/payment information discretely and effectively, and sounding professional with and without a script. For the 2019 Sussex Fund calling period I was the highest earning caller.

I launched and coordinated a citizen science project with the Mammal Society aimed at gathering data on waterway mammals in the U.K. I worked collaboratively with multiple organisations and wildlife trusts to raise awareness of the project, responded to queries from interested volunteers, organised training workshops, and ran the social media accounts for the project. I was responsible for processing, cleaning, and analysing the data gathered and boiling it down into a digestible poster. This was done through the use of QGIS.

I used fun experiments to teach children about difficult scientific concepts in and accessible manner for their ages.
