Strengthening the impact of the Joint Research Centre in policymaking in the areas of migration, employment, social inclusion, and democracy.

Tasks include conducting in-depth research and authoring policy reports on migration and asylum, organising closed-door and public events with policymakers and non-governmental stakeholders on relevant migration issues, and managing MPI Europe projects.

• Researched and monitored EU policies related to asylum, particularly related to the CEAS reform and protection concerns in the context of COVID-19• Assisted in the drafting of UNHCR reports and advocacy documents related to the European Commission´s new Pact on Migration and Asylum• Analysed EU legislative proposals, identifying positions of key actors and stakeholders • Drafted meeting reports for European Parliament plenaries and LIBE Committee sessions, NGO platforms meetings and events organized by academia, think-tanks and civil society • Managed an internal SharePoint site repository with 270+ users

• Contributed to briefings and speeches for former Commissioner Avramopoulos and senior officials• Organised the monthly Readmission Experts Meeting with Frontex and Member States• Reported on a wide range of meetings, including Council and EP sessions, the European Migration Forum, meetings with third countries and consultations with civil society• Contributed to the implementation report of Directive 2009/52 • Coordinated team inputs on readmission negotiations updates • Mapped African diasporas in Europe and created statistical country portfolios on migration • Drafted a call for proposals under the AMIF fund• Managed the functional mailbox and assisted with communications with Member States

• In charge of the Department of Nationals, which involved a wide range of consular procedures, such as the processing of Spanish passports and consular registration• Provided advice and assistance to Spanish citizens• Assisted the Civil Registry Department on topics such as birth registrations and nationality questions• Managed the Consulate's database and mailbox
