I was tasked with studying LoRaWAN protocol specification and network architecture with the aim of analyzing and comparing LoRaWAN network servers (e.g. The Things Stack, LORIOT, etc.), IoT platforms (e.g. ThingsBoard, Ubidots, etc.) and architectures (e.g. on-premises, SaaS, hybrid etc.). I deployed a private LoRaWAN network operated by a Docker instance of The Things Stack running on a Debian VM (hosted on AWS). On the end-device side, I developed a PoC firmware application running on the STM32WL SoC for sending analog sensor data to Ubidots. The IoT platform has been used to visualize data and trigger email alerts (e.gt. temperature exceeding threshold). As part of the experience, I wrote a technical report in English.

I helped modernizing the IT system of an architecture firm by migrating data from a MS Access database to MySQL. In this occasion, I also developed a Java ERP application built on JavaFX for managing projects, reports and accounting.

Back when iOS didn't have a "Files" app, there were many download manager apps circulating. I was using one, but it had a poor Italian translation, so I offered the developer to translate it. He accepted, and after the translated app was published on the Italian App Store, it quickly became the most downloaded in the Utilities category.
