Throughout my life, my dad has always said: "you will be successful, but only if you work for it." I am attentive and have tremendous passion for detail — the things that the regular person will not notice. Using this, I always notice gaps in a process and will work methodically to plug that gap and improve a process. It doesn't happen over an hour, but by working an hour every day for weeks.Working in the Facilities Division of Public Works in Coral Gables, I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of information that was never really written down. What keys go where? Where is the water shut off valve? How about the electricity panel? "I think Percy might know that one!" Let's meet every day and write it all down. Organize it. Share it with everyone so that we all know and we can work more cohesively to address maintenance issues. That was a big part of my first internship in a professional environment. It's something that I love to work towards every day in every organization I step foot in.
