Monica Johnson is a Nonprofit Director who works with artists, curators, students, and education institutions to create exhibitions, publish books, and grow research collections that better represent historically marginalized voices. At Booklyn, Inc., I work to advance social change through publishing and distributing artists’ books, archival collections, print portfolios, and zines to academic, artistic, and cultural institutions worldwide. We work directly with artists and social justice organizations to produce, document, and prepare work for acquisition. These materials are used as primary research materials and to support curricula, and are preserved and made accessible for many generations.
