Led TEDxUNC, an independent, TED-licensed conference that highlights ideas worth spreading.Recruited, trained, and orchestrated a committee of 25 students to organize all aspects of the conference. Welcomed over 300 guests to two sold-out sessions of the interactive conference. Managed public relations, university partnership, and internal operations for the conference.

Directed the planning and execution of TEDxUNC conferences by serving as an event planner, liaison with venue and hospitality partners, and leading on-site production of the conferences themselves.

Recognized as a Buckley Public Service Scholar during my time at UNC. Scholars fulfill service-learning and direct service requirements in an effort to both learn from and contribute to the local community. As a scholar, I tutored students at an elementary after-school program, provided pro-bono design/communications services to a local advocacy group, and served as a board member on a student foundation.

Designed a variety of graphic collateral for the agency's rebranding. Crafted press releases, social media campaigns, website copy, research articles, and other written collateral for clients.

Nominated by faculty as one of 20 students to participate in Media Hub, a class that acts as a fully-functioning newsroom. As a PR specialist, pitched classmates' stories for publication and managed content on class website and social accounts.

Served on a student foundation board to participate in grant-making from the initial stages of defining our focus area to providing grants for NC-based nonprofits. After defining our focus on grassroots, education-based efforts in eastern North Carolina, we selected grant recipients and maintained relationships with them to evaluate impact.
