Star House operates Central Ohio's only drop-in center for youth, ages 14-24, who are experiencing homelessness and connects them with immediate access to safety, basic needs and crucial, stabilizing resources. In addition, Star House jointly owns and operates an affordable housing neighborhood for youth exiting homelessness, ages 18-24, with on-site programs and services. - Manages all of Star House’s communications efforts, including earned, paid and owned media- Responsible for managing and growing Star House’s extensive grant portfolio of over $3.5M- Writes and submits all new and renewing grant and donation proposals as well as interim and final reports- Develops and implements strategies and tactics to increase Star House’s brand visibility, increase its donor and volunteer bases, and reach more youth experiencing homelessness to help them access Star House’s services- Garners national, state and local media attention for Star House’s mission, such as 60 Minutes, 10tv, CBS, etc.- Develops communications plans, materials and toolkits and guides staff on internal communications processes- Manages and updates Star House’s website, team updates, e-blasts, press releases and newsletters to internal and external supporters while overseeing a small communications team- Manages all social media accounts, calendars, plans and advertising and collaborates with media consultants on communications activities and media campaigns - Designs and prepares aesthetically pleasing annual reports, marketing materials, reports and graphics- Tracks grant outcome measures; ensures compliance on all grants; researches new grant opportunities; cultivates meaningful relationships with funders; and monitors news for media mentions and opportunities
