Worked at Lumen within a SOC environment. Acted in a role to fit Lumen's One-Engineer model, wherein a single engineer supports the full lifecycle of customer operations, starting from design. Primary technologies supported were Fortinet UTM devices, and primary tools used were Splunk and SolarWinds. Supported a variety of activities, including design review and feedback, and migration efforts for a large-scale environment. Working towards goals of improving ease of operations, device management, and helping to develop incident response and threat hunting capabilities.

Helped train new and existing employees as part of the transition team following the merger of the three companies which became Flexential, which included traveling to Charlotte, NC for a week. Acted as an escalation resource for fellow team members.

Worked in the Managed Services division. Provided network support for various large enterprises, primarily in supporting branch locations of retail stores, banks, fast food, and many others. Supported a variety of equipment from vendors including Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Cradlepoint, Fortinet, Juniper, and others. Troubleshot primarily OSI layer 1-3 problems, including hardware, configuration, ISP outages, and connectivity issues for modems, firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and VPN's. Arranged dispatches and kit requests for issues that could not be solved remotely.

Worked in Satellite Communications industry. Performed contract work. Worked in small teams to assist in the construction of 6-9 meter antennas for satellite earth stations. Worked in the USA and abroad. Completed construction of four antennas in Port St. Lucie, Florida and one in Geumsan, South Korea.

Worked in Packaging Service division. 80% travel throughout the United States. Serviced packaging machinery manufactured by Heat and Control, Ishida Co. Ltd., and C.E.I.A. S.p.A., including metal detectors, combination scales, weight-checkers, cabinet x-ray inspectors, and distribution systems. Completed troubleshooting, installation, validation, repairs, modifications, training and other service at customer sites. Began independent travel and service of machines within two months, and was selected to travel to Arezzo, Italy for advanced OEM training on the CEIA metal detectors serviced. Assisted in the creation of improved documentation for service employees. Worked remotely out of Florida beginning in September 2015.

Montreal, Canada Area

Tested video games and identified defects by paying close attention to gameplay, graphics, performance, balancing, sound and overall functionality. Wrote detailed bug reports identifying these defects and explained reproduction steps for the games’ developers.
