As a lead consultant, I support in the design of TeachWell Teacher Professional Development Package (TPD) for grades 1 to 3. I am responsible for providing technical support to the program's technical lead on how TPD models can be adapted to give teachers in diverse settings, practical experience and ongoing support in implementation of numeracy best practices.

As a Materials Development and Training consultant, I was involved in the conceptualization, design and development of a Remedial Reading Program for early grade reading. I was also involved in the training of Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs), Quality Assurance and standards officers (QASOs), teachers and other implementing partners on the implementation of the program.

As a materials development consultant, I developed a training manual for training teachers in Dadaab and Kakuma Refugee camps on how to approach teaching of mathematics to the refugee and host communities from a gender lens. I also participated in the training of instructional coaches and teachers using this manual.

As a Senior Program Coordinator, I was involved in teh following tasks:Development of digital contentI led in the development of audio and video content for early grade reading. This included conceptualization, development of shooting scripts, field research on learning needs and actual recording in studio and at school. As part of development of this content, I worked closely with a large team of experts from the Ministry of Education, KEMI, KICD and RTI where I played an oversight role. This content was uploaded in the Kenya Education Cloud as well as the KEMI portal. At the end of the project, I was able to develop the following content:- 60 learner's video lessons derived from the Tusome books.- 7 teacher training videos on all the components of early grade reading and writing- 3 videos for training of the Remedial Reading Program.Development of a pilot Remedial Reading ProgramI led a group of experts from the Ministry of Education and RTI to develop and pilot a Remedial Reading Program. I played a major role in researching on reading capabilities of learners across the country and designing the project. I played a key role in developing the different assessment and tracking tools. I also developed the Teacher Implementation Guides and the Teacher Training Manuals. I actively participated in the development of a dashboard that was used to monitor the program through classroom observations in 22 selected counties in Kenya. I led in the development of the Tangerine App that was used to collect data on the program. I participated in the analysis and developmet of the final report on the pilot program that was submitted to USAID.

As a Materials Development Specialist, I led a team of writers to develop instructional materials that are currently in use for teaching of literacy and numeracy to over five million children in Kenya. I coordinated the development of training materials that have so far been used to train over 500,000 teachers countrywide in the last 8 years. I led a team of experts to develop training modules for training of preservice teacher trainees in all teacher training colleges in Kenya. Other instructional materials that I have supported their development include curriculum designs for grade 1-3, training and teaching videos, classroom readers, schemes of work and lesson plans, text messages for teachers, teacher support tools and monitoring and evaluation tools. I was also a lead trainer in a cascade model of training.

Major achievements include:1. Supervised and supported several writers develop instructional materials for over 200 Bridge international schools located in several countries.2.Oversaw the development of instructional materials that were eventually used to teach in all Bridge schools.3. Trained over local and international writers on instructional materials development.4. Provided quality assurance for the instructional materials developed.5. Oversaw the conversion of teacher lesson plans into an online form for remote use by the teachers.

Major achievements include1. Designed instructional materials template that were eventually used to develop instructional materials for learners in Bridge schools. These instructional materials were eventually used by over 3 million children and over 100,000 teachers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria and China.2. Trained curriculum specialist who were based in Kenya and the United states.

Major achievements include1. Supervised the customization of the WIAT assessment tool for the assessment of the learners.2. Introduced and successfully managed to have the learners with various categories of learning disabilities sit for the GED examination and attain a high school equivalent diploma.3. Introduced vocational training with real life work experience for learners while at the same time attending school.
