Completed PhD dissertation work in the Cardiovascular Research Center at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University under the guidance of Dr. Sadia Mohsin. My dissertation work investigated the use of cell-based therapies in mediating the cardiac immune response (T Cell response) mounted following cardiac ischemic injury.Submitted and Presented six abstracts at various scientific meetings held at both Temple and by the American Heart Association.Currently have 3 peer reviewed publications, a book chapter (in review- expected publication date: May 2022) and 2 additional primary research articles in review at peer reviewed journals. As a student leader, I worked with students enrolled in Bio 102 to review material and develop studying strategies for students by facilitating large group discussion and study sessions twice a week.

Provided tours and admission information for the Ursinus College Admissions Office tor prospective students.

Provided basic animal care and system maintenance for the biology department's animal care facility. Also helped train student workers in animal handling and care in addition to basic laboratory safety.

Was 21 of 86 national applicants that was selected for an Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship (UGSRF) grant. Conducted research study that focused on the contractility and calcium handling of cardiomyocytes during the pregnancy state, specifically during following multiple pregnancies. Conducted this research under the direction of Dr. Beth Bailey. Upon conclusion of research fellowship, I was invited by the APS to present findings at the Experimental Biology Conference in Chicago in April of 2017. At the conference, I was awarded the Barbara A. Horwitz and John M. Horwitz Outstanding Undergraduate Abstract Award, and the David S. Bruce Excellence in Undergraduate Research Awards at the conference. In addition to this fellowship, I also served as a mentor for the Fellowships in the Ursinus Transition to an Undergraduate Research Experience (FUTURE) program at Ursinus College.
