Marcus Perry puts the elation in Public Relations. His PR talents bloomed at a later age when he realized a bachelor’s degree in History wasn’t cutting it. He hoped a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from Utah State University would at least help him get second dates.Marcus has served as the president of the Greater Salt Lake chapter of Public Relations Society of America, although he prefers the title of Supreme Chancellor. He has collected regular paycheck from the University of Utah Health Care as a public relations manager.Marcus is not really limited to the PR field, he was the class president of his Jr. High School and was voted the most improved player on his high school tennis team his senior year. He is a product of the Gen X generation and credits Master Yoda for shaping his views on doing or not doing something, the negative impact of succumbing to your fears, and the galactic struggle between the Force and the Dark Side. In addition, Marcus has developed a keen intuition for knowing the location of leftover food from business meetings. Marcus considers the experience of standing in the front row at the May 24, 2011 U2 360 Tour as on par with experiencing his own wedding day and seeing his three children being born. He has been described as tall and handsome—in the dark; and if he were a candy bar, he would be Skor. Ditching the 9-5 office space grind in May 2017, Marcus sold all he owned and took his family to Maui to start his own private Jeep tour company, called Hoaloha Jeep Adventures. Acting out his mid-life crisis has been the best thing for him and his family. Doing what you love and living life on your own terms is true freedom. And someday, he plans to sail the high seas in his own yacht.
