Unit of assigment was Detachment 3, 2nd Weather Wing (Air Weather Service), later Detachment 1, 86th Weather Squadron (US Air Forces Europe). Led team of forecasters and observers providing continuous weather warning and forecast support to the European theater in support of Department of Defense operations and resource protection.

Fairchild Afb, Wa

Unit of assignment was Detachment 3, 9th Weather Squadron, 3rd Weather Wing, Air Weather Service. Provided weather support and forecasting services to the 92d Bombardment Wing of the Strategic Air Command. Forecasted mission-critical weather for three squadrons of B-52 bombers and KC-135 tankers and transient aircraft. Deployed in support of wing exercises to Eielson AFB AK and Andersen AFB Guam.
