I have a strong background in science with a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry that included both lab based experiments and computer modelling.Since joining the Met Office in 2003 I have had the opportunity to undertake a number of roles across the organisation, mostly focused on developing and delivering services to customers. Over this time I have developed a strong understanding of the science of weather and climate change and have worked across a number of different market sectors both in the UK and overseas.In my current role as Head of UK Applied Science I lead a team of Scientists to deliver advice that aids customers with their decision-making.
