Serves as a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention (SHARP) Program Specialist in support of the surge of deployment/redeployment of Bravo Company 7-101 Aviation Battalion. Assigned responsibilities are planning, developing, advising, coordinating, and implementing the Army community relations programs. Responsible for assisting the senior mission commander with implementation and oversight of the SHARP program at Bravo Company 7-101 Aviation Battalion while concurrently ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Responsible for developing program objectives, policies, performance measures for program effectiveness, and training materials with the intent of reinforcing the Army’s commitment to eliminate incidents of sexual harassment and assault through a comprehensive policy that centers on awareness, prevention, training, education, victim advocacy, response, reporting, and follow-up actions. Coordinates and oversees the SHARP Program implementation at Bravo Company 7-101 Aviation Battalion. Develops policies and procedures aimed at achieving SHARP program goals and objectives. Participates in Division wide assessments to ensure the SHARP program functions at maximum effectiveness and promotes the best practices throughout the Division. Maintains a continuity book from standup of the program to include actions taken to implement program. Develops, coordinates and executes senior leader training based upon current research and trends on Sexual Harassment, Assault, Response, and Prevention. Provides technical program advice and guidance. Provides direction, assistance, and guidance to Company personnel. Ensures appropriate referrals are made to other support organizations, including family advocacy, social work service, legal, military police, criminal investigation command, and chaplains. Manages the Department of the Army Equal Opportunity (EO) Programs and the Army Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program for Bravo Company 7-101 Aviation Battalion. Manages and implements the Equal Opportunity program to maximize human potential and to ensure the fair treatment of all assigned, attached, mobilizing, and demobilizing military and civilian personnel based solely on merit, fitness and capability in support of readiness. Articulates the Departments of Defense and Army, as well as higher headquarters' policies concerning equal opportunity issues for assigned and attached soldiers. As the Equal Opportunity Program Manager recognizes and assesses indicators of institutional and individual discrimination in organization. Monitors and evaluates the EO climate; conducts unit assessments; monitors practices of recreational facilities both on and off post and other areas affecting military personnel. Assist commanders in developing EO policy and implementing the Consideration of Others Program. Executes this through the organization of and assistance with training sessions and the promulgation of both this Installations and higher headquarters' policies. Trains unit personnel in meeting their Equal Opportunity responsibilities. As Equal Opportunity Program Manager conducts interviews and inquires on complaints of unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment for active duty service members, their families and retirees in accordance with regulatory requirements and the Commander's guidance. Provides advisory assistance to commanders and investigating officers in the investigation and resolution of unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment. Prepares quarterly and yearly Annual Statistical reports. Aviation Life Support Officer

Provides control, inspection and certification, testing, evaluation and maintenance or overhaul of Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE). Provides initial and continuation instruction in the following ALSE subject categories: environmental life support and protective subsystems, over water survival equipment, escape and descent life support subsystems, survival recovery life support subsystem, global survival. Instructs crew members in all categories of ALSE. Certifies initial and continuation training of aircrew and other personnel. Certifies ALSE requirements for all missions; ensures aircraft are properly configured with proper types and numbers of ALSE dependent on destination and mission being flown. Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations. Ensures quarterly inspections by Commander, Aviation Safety Officer and Flight Surgeon. Ensures that material and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained. Issues ALSE lockers to aircrew members. Supervises, instructs, trains and certifies ALSE technicians on all facets of the aircrew life support career field; performs task evaluations and documents OJT records. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Ensures ALSE shop is prepared for Aviation Resource Management Survey inspections. Prepares Annual Budget analysis and projections for ALSE shop operations.

Perform as subject matter expert on Air Mission Planning System (AMPS) / Falcon View responsible for planning aviation missions, providing AMPS/FV training and developing products. Performs pre-mission planning, preparation and filing of flight plans using flight planning publications and maps, obtains and evaluates aviation weather reports and briefings, and with proper authority, obtains both IFR and VFR clearances, all in accordance with appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and local policies and procedures. Performs VIP transport, passenger and/or cargo transport to any destination airport, civilian or military missions in the Continental United States. Missions may be executed during the day or night, under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) or Visual Flight Rules (VFR), and are frequently flown in marginal or adverse weather conditions. Flying assignments are performed by utilizing the Command's assigned rotary wing aviation assets and deployed National Guard and Reserve Component rotary wing aviation assets. Missions may require transport of passengers and cargo over long distances to a number of locations throughout the North American continent. Conducts evaluations to ensure that aircraft are operated within all operational, safety and regulatory limitations. Operates navigational and communication radios, computerized flight management systems, and other on-board aircraft systems to ensure proper aircraft operation. Receives, acknowledges and complies with all Air Traffic Control (ATC) clearances and instructions. Maintains and records all flight and maintenance data in aircraft log-books. Completes and makes proper distribution of all post-flight reports and paperwork. Serves as CH-47 Pilot responsible for maintaining current aviation regulations and flight publications necessary for conducting VMC/IMC flights throughout the AOR.
