An experienced corporate IT Governance consultant, focussing on enterprise Governance, Security, Risk, Controls & Compliance.

Remit:- Accountable for groupwide IT General Controls programme (and Internal IT Audit teams) - to provide formal assurance to Board that IT departments across the Group (approx. £300M of expenditure) are operating in line with defined policies, standards and processes.- Responsible for Group IT Governance (Policies, Framework & Governance forums) – including the preparation of Board papers.- Responsible for working with Internal & External Auditors to provide appropriate level of assurance to Group CIO and Audit Committee.- Responsible for groupwide IT Risk management and reporting to Audit Committee.- In partnership with Group CISO drove Information security ISO 27001 compliance initiative.- Responsible for Ferguson Group Services (HQ) GDPR programme of work.Key Achievements:- Developed and implemented a standardised risk and control frameworks across large complex and multi-national organisation. - Engaged with senior stakeholders across organisation to develop and implement methodology for the implementation of IT processes and IT controls and across multiple business units and processes.- Managed activities for the implementation of GRC technology to support standardised control framework management and assurance practices. This included GRC process design, user training and integration into the organisation’s assurance processes.- Worked extensively with Global Head of Risk Management to develop and implement an enterprise wide Risk Universe and Risk management methodology. This included the development and roll out of Riskonnect across the global IT functions.

Remit:Accountable for Global Programme Office function.Responsibility included the following global governance areas: - Governance Framework (including IT Risk Universe, IT Policies and Standards). - Group PMO and groupwide PMO methodology and processes.  - IT Resource Management. - IT Performance Monitoring and Reporting. - IT Technology & Operations governance processes.Key Achievements:- Developed and established a uniform set of Group IT Policies.- Worked with CIO to establish IT Governance structures and processes.- Created a grouowide IT resource management aggregation and analysis system.- Developed IT risk based framework to enable CIO to govern annual IT budget of £200m+.

- Responsible for multiple Global projects to help establish the Global IT governance capabilities, including; - Establishing and running the Global IT Leadership team. - Establishing groupwide IT recharge principles/processes. - Helping CTO to establish Technology Governance standards and processes.- Built a new global PMO Office to provide groupwide PMO and PPM Services. This function governed global IT programmes spending up to £25M.Key Achievements:- Selected by Executive Leadership Team to be part of global Steering Group to select, design and build a new groupwide ERP solution.- Successfully managed the global IT Project Management Office overseeing global (£250M) SAP design and development Programme.

Responsible for all aspects of IT Services inside the Wolseley Plc Head Office in UK.Led Project to transition all Services into the new European Technology Centre and associated reduction in heads.
