Computer Information Specialist, Department of Veterans Affairs, State of Maryland. performed all computer operations within the directorate to include purchasing, connectivity, scalability, installations, and performance of hardware and software programs. Conducts database operations to include building reports, upkeep, input and management of internal database as well as multiple sub-data bases from outlying units. Conducts computer user training and acts as help desk for the directorate. Performed back-ups of critical systems to include payroll and databases. Kept the directorate equipment and personnel within established protocols for working on the LAN.

AGR Tour. Duties included instructor for Officer Candidate School, Primary, Basic and Advanced NCO Schools for multiple MOSs to include a Special Forces ANCOC course, Light Leaders and Light Fighters Course. Designated by the National Guard Bureau to represent the United States in a Senior NCO Exchange program to the United Kingdom and chosen to conduct senior level battalion and brigade operational training to senior officers in the Republic of Estonia. Handled all types of ordering and coordinating of training facilities, ammunition and supplies as well as payroll, logistics, transportation and security issues for multiple types of units. Performed all operations for the battalion within AFCOS (Army Payroll and Orders System). ATRRS (Army Training and Schools System) and the Department of Defense Security Manager Program (EPSQ). Advised coordinated and enrolled soldiers in Computer Based Training as well as conventional schooling. Designed and implemented short term and long term guidance and establish objectives for over 550 employees at six separate locations within the State of Maryland. Designed, laid out and physically built a distance learning center / video conferencing classroom using a mass multimedia environment to link-up with other multiple locations around the country. Upon completion of building and the general contracting of this site, I became the network administrator for two separate distance learning centers. As the administrator, was responsible for the multiple servers, video caches and all operations that took place at these sites. Administered the sites for tele commuting for multiple State and Government agencies. Conducted multiple courses and conferences for Government and educational facilities to sites around the world. Certified by The Department of Defense (DoD) as a Distance Learning Instructor.

I was offered choice of promotions to warehousing manager or sales. I chose sales and was promoted to salesman for the Baltimore Metro area for paper products, labels and boxes.

Fort Myer, Virginia

Platoon Guide for Basic, Advanced Infantry Training and Airborne School, Fort Benning, Georgia. I served as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard (The Old Guard) to Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Performed Military Funerals, Honors, Cordons, and Ceremonies. I conducted ceremonies for both Presidents as well as multiple foreign Heads of State. Specialties included Colors, Guidon and Marching Platoon. I personally performed over three thousand ceremonies and funeral honors while assigned to the 3rd Infantry “The Old Guard”. This position required a Top Secret Security Clearance with White House Access.
