Police Captain
CurrentSupervise Sergeants, Police Officers and in the absence of the Chief, all department employees. Assign personnel and resources as needed. Directly supervise department personnel in the performance of their law enforcement activities in maintaining law and order. Evaluate, review, and investigate complaints against the department its personnel. Initiate reports on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly department statistics and prepare reports as necessary. Develop and implement effective policies and training programs. Communication of complex information requiring tact and diplomacy to the public and other agencies. Manage field training officers.
