• Helped develop ASN patient care related advocacy• Responsible for developing ASN comment letters for CMS, CMMI, FDA and CDC • Consult on ASN Public Policy Board • Serve as staff liaison to 7 advisory groups designed to coordinate and helped develop the legislative agenda for the Public Policy Board for the coming yearLegislative Work and AccomplishmentsHIV Organ Policy Equity (HOPE) Act• Met with over 150 House and Senate offices, 1/3 of all cosponsors in the House, Energy and Commerce committee staff, House Floor staff and Majority Whip for final push• Worked with a small coalition to push and pass Senate/House legislation into Public Law 113-51 during one of the least productive Congress’ in history.Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Patients Act• Worked with Transplant Roundtable to develop advocacy strategies to gain cosponsors, advance legislation • Met with over 100 House and Senate offices, and Submitted testimony to the Energy and Commerce committee for consideration
