All projects are multi-faceted. To be faced with ideas, concepts, requirements, opportunities and challenges is one thing – but to take on a level-headed approach and have the ability to cut through confusion and calmly present clear ideas is another. I am currently looking for opportunities in the Corporate Workplace and Commercial Interior Design environment following a time working with a Central Coast based Construction Company. The company, RedEye Constructions, worked mainly in the Health Market building Private Hospitals and Medical and Radiography Centre projects, enjoying a turnover of $50m annually. To support their having an in-house Joinery factory and an Electrical and Data Contracting business, I was employed to create an Interior design business based on the D&C model, to even out the ebbs and troughs of the workflow to the subsidiaries. The aim was to leverage new projects from the existing Medical Client base, and to create new business opportunities in the Corporate Workplace market in Sydney, the Central Coast and Newcastle.To this end, working with the Directors and the General Manager I created and had mandated a Business Plan for the new entity, formulated a programme for the implementation of the activities required to commence trading, designed a dedicated Website for the Interiors business, produced a Capability Statement, wrote a Marketing Plan, began establishing a new local network on the Central Coast, and was involved with the Directors and the Management Team to review, workshop and confirm the Vision and Values for the whole Group and the new RedEye Interiors business in particular.We agreed to part ways as the Group became more focussed on their core business of Major Healthcare projects, and I was coming to terms with working 3 days a week on the Central Coast and the balance in Sydney.I am searching for opportunities where I can apply my experiences in Sketch Design, Workplace Planning, Client Management, Team Building and Management, and General Business Experience gathered over the last two plus decades, especially focussed on the Commercial Fitout Design & Construct arenas.
