About Mark Perry

As a professor at University of New England and Western University, and a barrister and solicitor at LSUC, I have over 20 years of experience in law, biotechnology, computer science, knowledge engineering, innovation, and intellectual property. I am passionate about exploring the nexus of technology and law, and how it impacts various fields such as sustainable agriculture, ag-tech, corporate governance, and data governance.I have a strong track record of leading and coordinating research projects, grants, and funding applications, with over 30 funded projects in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India and China. I have also delivered keynote speeches at many international conferences, organized and advised on global symposia, and taught and supervised students and researchers in different countries and disciplines. I have published over 200 articles in both law and technology journals, and have multiple patents and awards. I have a MJur (Distinction) in Intellectual Property Law and a DipCS in Computer Science, and I speak some Japanese.
