I have worked in the financial services arena as an adviser for in the region of 20 plus years involved in everything from self employed adviser to bank branch based adviser to Premier Banking Personal Banker, to specialising in working with Barristers, Directors and the like on Moorgate In London, to dealing with finances of doctors and consultants, to looking after the finances of teachers.This often involved me working from an office at home and visiting clients spread across from Chichester in the west to Rye in the east and from Eastbourne in the south to Tonbridge in the north. Advising on individual financial needs to the protection needs of a surgery or practice.This required me to build relationships with clients and practices, gaining most of my new clients by referral, and almost never needing to cold call to gain clients.During all of this time my approach was to keep language straightforward and to empower people to make and understand the decisions they were making. During this time I never had a single upheld justifiable complaint, this is of great satisfaction to me.I achieved all this and was regularly at the top of my peers in terms of sales production.I left this field to take over a Charity that I felt called to and ending up running it for a period of time, as Director, leaving when I felt that I had done everything I could for them.
