Responsible for completing reviews on residential appraisal reports completed by third party appraisal vendors. Ensures appraisals relied on by the Company are compliant with USPAP, FIRREA, Interagency guidelines, Company policies and Department standards and practices. Confirms written reports will be prepared in accordance with USPAP Standard 3 Technical Review criteria. Addresses appraisal report weaknesses and/or areas of non-compliance will be surfaced, and either reconciled with the appraiser, resulting in a revised report, or if appropriate, mitigated through reasonable analysis within the review report itself. Interacts regularly with internal users of residential appraisal services and third-party vendors. Performs all SME duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
