Gove Aluminium holds a 36% share of the Tomago Aluminium smelter joint venture with Rio Tinto and Norsk Hydro. The Gove Aluminium share of the joint venture earns revenue of ~$800m p.a. Inclose is a start-up business established in Port Kembla, NSW. Inclose produces and installs designed-to-specification, engineered, unitised large format prefabricated rainscreen façade panel systems for the commercial and multi-residential construction segments.- Performed in addition to the GM Aluminium role- Led the team from start-up and acquired the technical know-how from the USA

- Performed in addition to the GM Aluminium role- Worked with the CSR senior leadership team and Port Jackson Partners to develop CSR’s new strategy

- Member of the executive team that conducted CSR Limited’s business portfolio review that resulted in the divestment of CSR Sugar and all of CSR’s Asian operations- Led and directly negotiated the sale of CSR’s Asian insulation, panels, lightweight concrete and trading businesses with manufacturing operations in China, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore- Acquired 30% joint venture share of the Malaysian operations and restructured the Malaysian corporate structure to enable a clean 100% share sale of all Asian businesses- Developed the Building Products strategy and led the strategy process, including M&A

- Developed CSR’s Building Products Middle East entry strategy into the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including potential local partners in UAE and Saudi Arabia- Determined the optimal company, legal and tax structures for the Middle Eastern market- Completed due diligence, business valuation and a Board paper for the acquisition of a lightweight concrete manufacturing business in the UAE

Panel Systems was a start-up business unit established in October 2003 supplying the Asia Pacific construction market with the Rokcore walling panels and Alutri aluminium composite panel. The panel system was manufactured by CSR in Guangzhou, Southern China.- Established and led the Panel Systems team- Developed the vision, branding, manufacturing, sales (by specification) and marketing strategies for the business in ANZ, China and Singapore from start-up- Obtained CSR Board approval to invest $20 million to construct CSR’s first panel plant on a greenfield site in southern China, which was completed on budget and on time- Negotiated the manufacturing equipment supply from Finland

- Full P&L and operational accountability for ~$40 million revenue business (July 2003) with three manufacturing plants producing a full range of masonry products and roof tiles- Systems and products sold through multiple channels including by specification, direct to builders, retail and through resellers to the commercial, residential and alterations and additions segments

Clay & Concrete was comprised of Boral Bricks, Midland Bricks (WA), Boral Roofing and Boral Masonry with annual sales revenue of approximately A$500 million.

Boral Bricks operated in NSW, Victoria and Queensland manufacturing clay bricks and pavers in nine different sites. Products are used in residential and commercial construction and landscaping.
