Warehouse Superintendent East
The original intent for this role was to manage the Condabri Distribution Centre and rural warehouse operations in the East. (Condabri Central, Talinga, Toowoomba, Orana, Peat and support inventory requirements within that region for unmanned warehouse activities). Responsible for the receiving, storage and dispatch of materials to external site and internal clients and the overall management of the Drilling & Completion Warehouses in the East. Managing a team of 26 permanent and casual contractor workforce working a FIFO roster of 2 weeks on/2weeks off.Four months into the role the decision was made to explore an outsourced 3PL warehousing model. CEVA Logistics were successful with their tender bid and commenced on site in February 2016. All direct reports transitioned across to CEVA\Programmed Skill Workforce.The Superintendent role transitioned into one of Contract Manager ensuring contract compliance of our Service Provider and liaising with our customers. A key element of the role was Health and Safety Assurance which was achieved through weekly audits against key control measures.In 2016 the LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate) was at an alarming 8 for Business Services for which the Warehousing & Logistics Team recording 5 injuries within the preceding 12 months. Note these injuries occurred prior to CEVA coming on board. Through the application of a SAFER review (Systems, Accountabilities, Focus, Engagement & Response) by July 2017 this number was reduced to ZERO.
