Conexion Americas Restore The Dream Center
The 2010 floods that impacted Nashville and the surrounding areas were devastating and had a widespread detrimental effect on the community. In response, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville created five flood relief centers. I was tasked with ramping up and managing the south Nashville center on Nolensville Pike. This included building strong relationships with local and national volunteer organizations including the Southeast Flood Recovery Group. Additionally I managed a $300,000 budget, ensuring that the funds were used efficiently to create the greatest impact. It was an extremely challenging and rewarding experience and I’m very proud of being a part of assisting 382 flood victims, and of those, 228 families whose homes were fully restored.
