Mary launched Design Wright Studios in Denver in 2001. With two children at home and another on the way, she built the company from a solo interior design business to a full-service residential and commercial design firm, complete with its own line of elegant furnishings. While she no longer involves herself in client projects, Mary assists the Interior Designers who buy from her Trade Showroom for their projects.In 2017, she opened the doors to Design Wright Studios, a flourishing fine furnishings showroom in Denver's RiNo Arts District. The showroom quickly became the go to for designers all over the region to source unique lines, like the DWS Collection, a private label line of upholstery made in North Carolina. Exclusive furniture brands like HC28, EJ Victor, Oly, Beacon Custom Lighting, The M|T Company, Neirmann Weeks and Mobican, among others round out the assortment of specialty manufacturers.Mary enjoyed a flourishing career in the fashion industry, as design director of both Prince Manufacturing, Inc. and Le Coq Sportif. While living in Boston in the 1990s, she discovered that her love of textiles was wonderfully suited to the business of residential interior design. Now, with over twenty years in the business, Mary is devoted to nurturing the young and independent interior designer.As the middle child from a large family, Mary is happiest when her home is filled with children, pets, relatives, and friends, both new and old. Her favorite quote, from Maya Angelou, sums up her experience, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
