I worked as an accounting assistant handling clients located in NC, SC & GA.doing weekly & monthly payroll, payroll taxes & state Withholding taxes, quarterly reports FUTA & SUTA, yearly tax reports, sales tax reports, insurance audits, 941 tax payments, getting yearly corporate tax information ready for filing, file ABC permit renewals, help get permits ready for new restaurants to open, etc. I also help with general office work; mailing invoices to clients, answering phone, faxing copies of tax returns, etc.

I handled all aspects of payroll and taxes which was done on a weekly basis. I filed 941 taxes weekly & filled out and filed all quarterly tax reports for NC, GA, & CA, filled out and filed sales tax reports for NC & CA. I made the deposit daily and ran invoices. I figured and filed 401-K bi-weekly. I handled all health insurance, life insurance, voluntary life insurance & the Flex spending account for the employee’s. I handled all Workman Comp. Claims - major and minor.

I started at MAD answering the phones and filing and worked my way up to the position of Office Manager. There wasn’t much I did not do at some point while employed here. I handled payroll, taxes, invoicing, inventory controller, purchase orders, workman compensation, organized company functions, weekly safety meetings,work in/over saw AR & AP departments, etc. Towards the end of my employment there, I worked in inside sales for a very short time.
