I have continued managing numerous CFD and physical modeling projects, working with our experienced engineering team to develop innovative and novel solutions to our clients flow and heat transfer problems. My role in engineering sales has expanded, including more presentations at technical conferences, while writing 70-100 technical proposals per year. Field work is still an important component of my job and I have held the position of Test Crew Leader on 150+ test trips. In my role as QSTI, I lead all flow RATA tests, using ASC’s 3DDAS or MAP System to provide our clients with the most accurate flow measurement possible.

I transitioned into a role as Project Manager, overseeing CFD and field testing projects. I was one of the technical leads in ASC’s sorbent injection modeling division. In addition to managing project personnel, I continued to perform CFD modeling, including pulse-jet fabric filters (PJFFs), sorbent injection systems, coal and gas-fired selective catalytic reduction systems (SCR), and many more. I began engineering sales work, writing proposals and attending technical conferences. My role as a Field Test Leader continued, as I led test projects for SCR tuning, SDA performance testing, coal pipe balancing, stack RATA testing, and more.

I performed laboratory testing and assisted with physical model construction. I was also a member of several field test crews and transitioned to a Field Test Leader by 2005, conducting flow measurements at coal-fired power plants and other industrial sites. In 2009 I was certified as a Qualified Source Testing Individual (QSTI) to assist with our stack testing division. In the office, I reviewed client drawings and built CAD models. I also performed CFD flow modeling for numerous installations, including heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), electrostatic precipitators (ESP), and burner windbox systems.

Azore Software is a new division of Airflow Sciences to focus on sales and development of CFD solver and meshing software. The Azore CFD package is a powerful analysis and design tool that has been used for over 10 years on a range of industries. This includes power generation, food processing, HVAC, automotive, metals processing, chemical, and more. The focus is on accuracy, by using the latest solver techniques and CFD mesh topologies, while keeping cost affordable. Flow, heat transfer, species tracking/mixing, moving reference frame, and related physics are possible. I am involved in the development and sales of our custom test equipment, including our automated flow test system for RATA testing, the Multiple Automated Probe System (MAPS).I work on the technical sales team and I am also involved in the software development for each of our pieces of custom hardware.
