As a Summit Steward I am stationed on several of the Adirondack high peaks and am responsible for educating hikers about the fragile alpine vegetation, and how to properly protect it while out hiking. Stewards also complete various trail work projects, environmental studies, and assist forest rangers with rescues if needed.

As Wilderness Trip Leader my primary responsibility is leading wilderness courses and trips for the Adirondack Mountain Club in the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Park, as well as instruction of ADK’s Outdoor Education workshops.
