• Undertook a virtual survey of the project using Autodesk Navisworks to update and amend overall site information and bills of quantities
• Analysed and updated ground testing trackers with information from the borehole log testing team, relayed this information to the client and subcontractors and advised on any unforeseen issues
• Investigated the viability of further carriageway narrowing. This included using AutoCAD and original groundwork drawings to calculate the structural viability of the work. This also entailed using bills of quantities.
• Developed an understanding of tender and pre-construction processes under NEC 3 contract packages.
• Recorded experience and evidence to be submitted as part the chartership process and developed my understanding of the information, skills and experiences required for submission

Crossrail - C512 Whitechapel Station

• Managed one of the bricklaying subcontractors and their corresponding package, including providing point of work briefings, resolving issues, submitting material requisitions, communicating and mediating with other.
• Produced and updated several work method statements
• Collated all necessary quality control documents for the first stage of the project and submitted the package for acceptance. For this I received an award for dedication to Quality Assurance.
• Provided tool box talks during morning brief, site inductions for new members of the work force and site tours/progress updates for visitors including TFL and Crossrail representatives. Each of these responsibilities.
• Used a total station for setting out concrete elements and subsequent site engineer quality inspections. Furthermore, I attended client quality inspections for several elements, including those I had provided setting.
• Undertook measurement and quantity surveys and analysed the data to update plans and submit material requisitions.

Crossrail - Old Oak Common

• Shadowed graduate engineers to better understand the workings of a construction site during my first on-site experience.
• Used a total station to set out and aid installation of concrete beams.
• Performed and signed off line and level checks on the structural steelwork to allow completion and progression of phases.
• Planned and coordinated the logistics of new plant coming onto site. This involved identifying how site layout could be adjusted to allow a large telescopic crane on to site while also considering safety needs and.
• Communicated with the steel subcontractors, assisted with any unforeseen logistical problems that arose and aided communication with other subcontractors in the same area
• Monitored, tracked and recorded steelwork progress and updated the site diary for the steelwork package.
