Director Of Operations
Current➣ Facility● Responsible for all museum operations including HVAC, landscaping & snow removal, interior & exterior lighting & appearance, signage, cleaning.● Schedule inspections of equipment as required by state & local codes & insurance.● Negotiate contracts with vendors, landscaping, HVAC, cleaners & other services. ● Liaison with contractors, architects, city building department, police & fire for building projects, inspections, & problems.● Oversee operation, repair, & replacement of A/V equipment. Work with A/V consultant troubleshooting problems & order replacement equipment.● Oversee security system, cameras, policies, procedures, training employees, volunteers in use of system. ● Manage security guards for daily operations & special events.● Responsible for operation & maintenance of electronic sign.➣ Administrative● Compensation & benefits Administration, including employee enrollment.● Administer benefits program, act as liaison between employees & insurance carriers.● Maintain personnel records.● Prepare payroll, maintain vacation, & sick leave records.● Work with Managing Director to implement personnel policies, employee manual.● Oversee computer operations, including email & network operations. Work with IT consultant on troubleshooting & maintenance of computers. ● Review, approve, & code all invoices for benefits, utilities, audio visual, building maintenance & special exhibitions, ● Maintain phone system. ● Work with Finance Director & vendors to negotiate contracts for copier, postage machine, internet & phone, cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, etc.● Work with colleagues on budget, contract, construction management of special exhibitions including storage, audio visual installation, working with the city & electrical contractor.● Work with Finance Director to develop museum & exhibition operating budgets & yearly audit.● Manage front of house operations. Supervise the Manager of Volunteer, Visitor, & Retail Services.
