I do science and mathematics research, particularly centered around and on quantum physics. I and Isabelle Lee Stanford are the discoverers of Quantum Space-Time Theory, which is published. Quantum Space-Time Theory is the Science Field of Reality Physics based on Quantum Physics and/or Rational Mechanics and covers not only energy and matter but also space, time, and all of reality itself at the most fundamental level. Quantum Space-Time Theory describes any part or all of reality with the Double Quantum Unit. The Double Quantum Unit is based on the rational fact that for anything to exist (physically and/or non-physically) that both “what exists” and “how many of what exists” are needed. Also, the double quantum unit must exist as a single unit bound to itself as itself unit. This means that both “what exists” and “how many of what exists” both exist as both. To counterbalance this natural impossibility as is, part of any double quantum unit is also the metaphysics property makeup, which in reality are the non-physical observations, which include the gravitational field, electric field, magnetic field, etc.. I carried out science research in the area of polymer dielectrics. I used microlayer coextrusion to produce layered polymer films of various polymers (e.g. polycarbonate, polysulfone, polyvinylidene fluoride homopolymers, and polyvinylidene fluoride copolymers). Films with enhanced dielectric energy density (16 J/cc) and dielectric breakdown strength as well as reduced dielectric losses were produced. A treeing mechanism was developed that explains the enhancement in dielectric breakdown strength observed in polymer layered films. An optimum polymer layer thickness and optimum polymer crystal orientation were determined, which had maximized the dielectric breakdown strength and dielectric energy density and minimized the dielectric losses. I also studied the confined crystallization of a PVDF homopolymer and several PVDF copolymers using microlayer coextrusion. The independent variables of polymer layer thickness and crystallization temperature had a significant effect on the polymer structure.During my time as a graduate student, I had mentored six undergraduate students. This included three students, each for a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) summer program. This also included one student for the Center for Layered Polymeric Systems (CLiPS) (NSF Science and Technology Center) ENVOYS High School program. Finally, this included two undergraduate students at Case Western Reserve University for an undergraduate research class offered at Case Western Reserve University. This mentoring and research experience that these six students received allowed them to contribute to my polymer dielectrics research while still allowing them to have ownership of their sub-project. Being the most senior member of the dielectrics research group at Case Western Reserve University, I also had the opportunity to mentor two less-senior graduate students on their related graduate research project in polymer dielectrics.
