I manage WordPress VIP's developer learning program at Automattic. This includes the management and development of the physical learning portal as well as total ownership of the curriculum, modalities, and learning metrics (KPIs and OKRs).I coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure our learning program meets various needs: our open-source team who represents the WordPress community at large, our enterprise team who represents our largest corporate and public sector customers, and our internal team who represents employees who utilize the training internally.I lead a team of developers who build and maintain the learning portal as well as work with internal and community subject matter experts in various areas to ensure that learning content is useful.

I revamped our customer onboarding program to align more with evidence-based learning practices to drive learning outcomes. Prior to this, our learning program was largely ad-hoc with each employee onboarding customers as they saw fit. I taught customers about effectively utilizing WordPress at the enterprise level. This involved having a technical understanding of our cloud-based infrastructure as well as an understanding of how customers use open-source and proprietary integrations to achieve business objectives. Examples of customers have involved some of the world's largest media organizations, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.I was involved in our internal employee recruitment and learning initiatives. Aside from being a part of the hiring team and training new employees, often my background in organizational learning was utilized called upon in an advisory role for other teams undergoing learning transformation.

Managed all aspects of technology and communications for a US Department of Education-funded technical assistance center that worked to implement research-based practices into teacher preparation and professional development by: reforming teacher and leader preparation programs, providing consulting on the revision of licensure and certification standards, refining personnel evaluation systems, and consulting on achieving alignment between policy structures and professional learning systems. Worked with clients nationwide to provide quality consultative services of how to leverage technology to further policy and program development objectives. Examples of clients include the Mississippi Department of Education, the Council for Exceptional Children, the American Institutes for Research and the University of Kentucky.Planned annual conferences for educators and policymakers of up to 300 attendees as well as smaller state-level meetings for up to 20-30 attendees.Managed an agile software team comprising of a senior developer, several junior developers, a business analyst, UI/UX designer and various consultants. This team developed our custom web application that analyzed program syllabi components against various policy standards or evidence bases. This program is currently used by dozens of university programs to provide evidence towards accreditation status.Led strategic communications for center including communications planning and dissemination efforts and collaborating with other national organizations to meet dissemination goals. Led nationwide cohort group consisting of university administrators and state department of education personnel where we collaboratively revised communication plans and strategies. Also gave presentations on utilizing technology to achieve policy objectives at several meetings and conferences.Responsible for ensuring organization-wide compliance with digital accessibility (WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 ADA).

Part of a grant that researched effective literacy interventions for incarcerated students.-Managed a portion of the project that utilized classroom observations to assess adherence to a treatment or control curriculum.-Co-author of fidelity manual which outlines how people can replicate the treatment protocols.-Assessed students using a battery of reading and intelligence assessments.-Purchased, troubleshot, and trained people on computer, audio, and video equipment, assessment protocols, and behavior analysis protocols.

The Career Resource Center at UF is the #1 Ranked Career Services Center in the US by the Princeton Review.-Held advising sessions with students on how to improve their marketability to employers, including helping with resumes, internships, interviews, and other job-related activities.-Recruited and worked with employers to both convince them to hire UF students and to understand how we can help UF students become more valuable employees.

Worked at a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice residential treatment and drug rehabilitation center for juvenile offenders .I started an afterschool GED preparatory program that led to dozens of students getting their GEDs with a 100% exam pass rate. Prior to this, any student who wanted their GED studied independently and the pass rate was around 50%. Over 30 students received their GED in the three-year program duration.I taught four to five daily courses in Math, English Language, and Life Skills of 10-15 students ages 14-18. This included classroom instruction, lesson planning, and assessments. I worked alongside social workers and therapists to make academic transition plans for students exiting from the program.Nearly 90% of students had diagnosed disabilities, so I did a lot of work on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as well as creating a classroom environment that utilized principles of Multi-tiered Systems of Support and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
