Managed all aspects of technology and communications for a US Department of Education-funded technical assistance center that worked to implement research-based practices into teacher preparation and professional development by: reforming teacher and leader preparation programs, providing consulting on the revision of licensure and certification standards, refining personnel evaluation systems, and consulting on achieving alignment between policy structures and professional learning systems. Worked with clients nationwide to provide quality consultative services of how to leverage technology to further policy and program development objectives. Examples of clients include the Mississippi Department of Education, the Council for Exceptional Children, the American Institutes for Research and the University of Kentucky.Planned annual conferences for educators and policymakers of up to 300 attendees as well as smaller state-level meetings for up to 20-30 attendees.Managed an agile software team comprising of a senior developer, several junior developers, a business analyst, UI/UX designer and various consultants. This team developed our custom web application that analyzed program syllabi components against various policy standards or evidence bases. This program is currently used by dozens of university programs to provide evidence towards accreditation status.Led strategic communications for center including communications planning and dissemination efforts and collaborating with other national organizations to meet dissemination goals. Led nationwide cohort group consisting of university administrators and state department of education personnel where we collaboratively revised communication plans and strategies. Also gave presentations on utilizing technology to achieve policy objectives at several meetings and conferences.Responsible for ensuring organization-wide compliance with digital accessibility (WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 ADA).
