My role as a consultant is to help clients discover and define the solutions they need to grow their business through optimization of existing systems, and implementing new ones. I work with clients throughout the design, and implementation process to ensure that original targets and expectations are met while managing new needs and revised goals that inevitably come up during a project. After a project component is completed, I work to prioritize back log items for delivery based on their technical feasibility and the value created for the client and their customers. In addition to working with clients, I act as a resource internally on projects to ensure that all team members across all functional groups have the information they need to reach project milestones. Group sought to implement continuous improvement techniques in all facets of the company’s operation both on site and in office. Used principals from Lean, Six Sigma, and various other methodologies to identify and rectify sources of inefficiency.Helped to create a 1-day training session educating employees on continuous improvement techniques (e.g. 5-Why analysis, Management Operating Systems, Kaizen Events, etc.) through simulation based learning. Session was piloted at the Toronto corporate office, and is scheduled to be expanded throughout 2013. Created a reference document containing high level overviews of every Barrick site for the senior leadership team. The document included general information about each sites, production, financial, and CHESS (Community, Health and Safety, Environmental, Security) information. I aggregated this data from different Barrick sites and offices around the world, and had discretion over what types and exactly what information went into the document. The project was considered a success by my superiors.

Responsible for the Society Affairs portfolio that is comprised of: Internal Affairs, Information Technology, Events, and Internal Communications. Responsible for upholding our policy and making sure that we comply with exterior regulations such as federal and provincial law and the job satisfaction for more than 60 hired volunteers. During my term a marketing strategy that I designed was set into place and executed which is responsible for the increase in overall exposure. Under my leadership there was increase in attendance of 200% on average at all EngSoc events, an increase of 400% in readership of EngSoc communications, a doubling of the walk in levels of common spaces, and 100% more applications for our volunteer
