The Advisor Sales team at Fidelity Investments Canada works with investment advisors on which Fidelity products can help to meet their clients’ unique financial needs.During my internship at Fidelity, I collaborated with one other intern to support ten wholesale teams in the Vancouver office achieve $920M in gross purchases over a four-month period. I worked on a variety of front-office tasks, including generating $125M+ in portfolio comparisons, $35M+ in proposals using Fidelity's FMP and PIP tools, and taking notes on a multitude of Fidelity webcasts with Analysts and Portfolio Managers, totalling over 30,000 words.

WTW is a global consulting & advisory firm with solutions for the fields of people, risk and capital. WTW's four main consulting branches include Risk & Actuarial, Health & Benefits, Work & Rewards, and Investments.During my internship, I worked alongside the Work & Rewards team in Vancouver. The Vancouver office specializes in Executive Compensation (EC) consulting, where we work with executives and board members of major companies across the globe to find data-driven solutions to companies' complex EC structures. We ensure that EC practices are properly aligned with long-term success and maximizing shareholder value.As an Analyst Intern, I leveraged Microsoft Excel, S&P CapitalIQ, and other tools to analyse financial data. After sourcing and analyzing the data, I helped to transform this data into compelling visual narratives with coherent, actionable takeaways on Microsoft PowerPoint, employing the use of relevant graphs, charts, and graphics.

BMO Nesbitt Burns is the Private Wealth arm of BMO Financial Group. Investment advisors at BMO NB offer personalized Wealth Management solutions to private clients to secure their financial futures.As an intern working as an Investment Advisor Assistant, I performed administrative duties as well as various other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Investment Advisor and other team members. Some of my duties included building client relations through meetings and phone calls, as well as analyzing equity research reports to help the Senior Investment Advisor identify focus companies for each of our clients unique needs. Skills developed include interpersonal skills & client relations, equity research & analysis, and CRM software (Salesforce).

Aero Inspection is an Aerospace company offering a variety of solutions that help clients to properly meet the extensive regulation requirements of the Aviation industry. Aero Inspection has offices based in Shannon and Singapore. Some services include borescope inspections, aircraft weighing and component inspections.As an intern with no prior work experience, I strived to expand my skills and add value wherever possible, assisting in projects across multiple departments, including operations, sales and accounting. I primarily added value through various projects on Microsoft Excel that helped to streamline business processes, including workbooks that automate payroll processes and a database for tracking external contractors to secure overseas projects. Another fascinating project I worked on was a business plan outlining the feasibility of the company to expand into Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems, primarily for building inspections. As my first internship opportunity, my time with Aero Inspection taught me important communication skills, logical thinking, and how to be adaptable and learn new skills quickly.
