Campaign Development Intern
Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
At the beginning of the Spring 2021 semester I became the Account Executive for a public relations campaign consultation for the N.C. Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service through the Governor's Office, more commonly known as VolunteerNC. After the semester ended, I was invited to continue working with the organization to implement the campaign plan our team created as well as prepare other communication materials for the commission.During the summer, I assisted VolunteerNC in producing and implementing the Nourish Your Neighbor campaign, designed to increase the number of college student volunteers helping with foodbanks during COVID-19. I prepared social media content and created a posting schedule, set up a newsletter with iContact, wrote press releases, created infographics, aggregated campus contacts and conducted outreach, and prepared and pitched presentations. In addition to planning the campaign, I helped the commission with general communication materials as well. I created press release templates for various occasions, designed an annual report template, centralized the organization's design style into a branding guide, scheduled social media posts, and wrote copy for VolunteerNC's newsletter.
