Promoted to oversee the administrative duties of the Southeast Atlantic District for Dillard's and moved from Atlanta, GA to St. Petersburg, FL to take charge of the Florida District Office. My role supports the functions of our executive team, including our District Manager, Assistant District Manager, District Manager for our Beauty sector, and our Regional Lingerie Business Manager. I work the HR and personnel elements of our 3500+ employees on a district level across 31 stores in the state of Florida. I also work on growing our Design Network and Event Registry businesses on a regional level in the Florida market.

Greater Atlanta Area

I made the leap and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to spearhead our Design Network and Registry programs in the heart of the city! I spent my time wearing two hats; working on making connections with local interior designers, builders, realtors and those in the interior decorating field as well as reaching out to local event venues, wedding vendors, and brides to grow both businesses for Dillard's in the Atlanta region. As of Fall 2020, my location was the #1 location for registered designers in our 24-location region, with more than 50% growth in registered designers over the previous year. Our registry sales business increased more than 300% in the time I worked in this role at this location. I initiated multiple outside events to drive both recruitment of new leads and business as well as generate sales and new business relationships for our initiatives. When on the floor at our Atlantic Station location, I aimed to provide five star luxury experiences to each client no matter what their mission.

Chesapeake, Virginia

My predominant role was cultivating a strong build-up of clientele in the Home and Bridal business at my store. I promoted our business by providing excellent customer service, both within our store and abroad. I coordinated internal and external events to promote our Registry programs and educate our personnel about new and major product lines we carry in my department. Our store was elected to lead a new Test Program in our region for the Registry business of our company, based on consistent sales growth in both general department and specialized bridal registry sales over the last five years.

Norfolk, Virginia Area

Under the direction of former Event Service Manager of the Scope, Mary Collins, I worked to smoothly execute high-dollar, high-stakes events booked with the Museum. A typical event at the Museum requires the management of both external vendors and museum staff to ensure that the event will be performed to exceed client expectations. We achieved our mission to impress and serve the client with “above and beyond” customer service by anticipating needs, troubleshooting and problem-solving for practical solutions to unforeseen concerns on site - without disturbing the guests or clients whenever possible, accommodating requests to the best of our abilities, and making sure everyone enjoys the event in a safe and comfortable environment.

Charlottesville, Virginia Area

I worked with team members on high-profile event installs, programming, and strikes in the Charlottesville and Richmond areas. I l also provided fixture maintenance and troubleshooting in high-energy, high stakes environments.

Williamsburg, Va

I worked with Theatrical Services to strike elements of Howl-O-Scream and install Christmastown. I performed fixture maintenance and troubleshooting both in the warehouse area and in both indoor and outdoor venues around the park. I assisted the park’s primary lighting director, David Longcore, and his associate in the execution of his lighting designs for Miracles, Gloria!, Deck the Halls, O, Tannenbaum, and Santa’s Fireside Feast.

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Alongside members of a highly-skilled team, I facilitated corporate and celebratory event installs in the Hampton Roads area, programming, live operation, and strikes. I performed fixture maintenance and troubleshooting both in the shop and on-site in a variety of professional and private venues both indoors and outdoors.

From making cable by the spool, to running through a wet field cradling our precious two-scene preset board in the middle of a summer downpour, I worked as a volunteer electrician and board operator for Tidewater Community College's "Shakespeare in the Grove". This annual indoor/ outdoor program serves up a summer run of one of the Bard's classics at the Chesapeake campus in a wooded grove and moves to the Roper Theater in downtown Norfolk for the final week of performances. The days are long and the nights were hot while we problem-solved such troubles as "how to remove bug bits from the inside of a three pin connector."
