About Meredith Baker
When was the last time you had an honest and productive conversation with your Banker?Do you even know your Banker’s name? Most people don’t. The banking industry has gone through a radical evolution. A century ago a Banker sat in your living room and applying for a loan opened you up to a very personal inspection. Over time, requirements became more standardized and banking moved from your living room to the bank lobby. Banks competed for deposits and offered incentives to customers opening new accounts (The era of Toasters!)The warm and fuzzy banking era eventually dissipated. Market crashes, regulations, and cost-cutting led banks to the age of automation. Customers once welcomed with open arms were now encouraged to bank online and use ATMs. Some bank even started charging fees for branch visits! Some banks became cold and impersonal. Customer loyalty eroded. Clients hopped from bank to bank looking for lower fees, free accounts, or account opening bonuses. Eventually, banks caught on and our TVs were flooded by “we care” commercials…but still some banks kept the fees and impersonal service. Now let me tell you about MY kind of banking. My philosophy is simple: Customer Service is an Art and a renaissance is long overdue.♦ My name is Meredith and I am the banker that will visit your place of business and brainstorm practical ideas on how to help you grow your company.♦ My name is Meredith and I bring you 30+ years of experience in the banking industry. Whether it’s personal or business accounts, I offer solutions that make your life easier.♦ My name is Meredith and with the resources available to me as a Financial Center Supervisor, I can offer you a banking relationship that is better than anything you have ever experienced before. My name is Meredith Baker and I want to be your banker. Connect with me on LinkedIn or contact me at meredithbaker@hancockwhitney.com; or call me at 941-714-3356. NMLS 1439185Let me show you why I am the banker you need in your life.

Sr Relationship Banker
I’ve accepted a position at Synovus Bank as a SR Relationship Banker. I absolutely love it. You might remember; I had worked for Synovus before (SEP 2005-JAN 2011). In 2008, I was humbled and thankful to win the James D Yancey Customer Covenant Chairman Award for always putting the needs of the customer first and delivering excellent customer service. It validated everything I believed in and reinforced the type of banker I wanted to be.So when I had the opportunity to return to Synovus, the Bank of Here; I jumped on it. Synovus is a full service bank, offering banking, lending and investment needs. My broad knowledge of banking operations, regulations, and customer service, made me very successful in this role.
Banking Center Manager
Joining the crew at the Clark Road branch in Sarasota, FL has been a great experience. American Momentum is a regional, well capitalized bank that keeps a very local focus and offers the best accounts in town for consumer and commercial banking. In my role as Banking Center Manager, I encourage my team to remember one key truth – banking is about people. As a Banker, I can help my clients in ways that make a difference to their experience and to their financial health: ♦ Consumer Banking – The right type of bank account can save you money on fees, lets you see how and when you spend your money, and helps you build savings for different needs (emergency funds, vacation planning, holiday savings, etc.). ♦ Commercial / Business Accounts – I can save my clients time by visiting them in their place of business and helping set-up the right type of accounts. This helps them control their cash flow, and very importantly, avoid mingled funds issues with the IRS. ♦ Loans You Can Trust – It’s frustrating to hear about new car buyers or homeowners who realize, too late, that the terms of their loans are very unfavorable. At American Momentum Bank, we lend conservatively and transparently with terms that are clear and customer-friendly. ♦ Technology – AMB has many of the cool technology tools that allow you flexibility in the way you bank: Online Banking, Remote Deposits, and more. Of course, you still have access to personal service when you need it. Not sure if you are getting bang for your buck with your bank?I can help. The next time you get your bank statement, bring it to me. If you are paying unnecessary fees, or your accounts are not structured to help you grow and save, I will gladly show you how better support can advance your financial well-being. Meredith A. StrahleBanking Center Manager
Assistant Banking Center Manager
Assistant Bank Branch Manager
My role was to be the primary liaison with corporate divisions to insure the branch's adherence to regulations, policies & procedures. I also processed reports and provide a timely and accurate response to request for information. These were important parts of my job, but what I loved best was interacting with our customers. As an Assistant Branch Manager, I held direct the daily activities of the branch and shared the responsibility & accountability with the Branch Manager. I sought to reestablish a personal connection with our client base and develop stronger relationships within our local business community. I loved being able to contribute my experience, knowledge, and insight in ways that help clients achieve financial goals with their personal and business accounts. When the opportunity with American Momentum Bank presented itself, it was difficult to leave my BankUnited clients. It wasn’t an easy choice but ultimately, I embraced a role that offered me even more face-time with my clients. Personal Banker
As Lead Teller, I managed and coached a team of 5 Tellers on Customer Service, and adherence to guidelines on Sales, Compliance, and Operational Standards. We served Personal Account owners and Small Business owners and strived to always provide an efficient and courteous customer experience. One of my strengths as a manager, is bringing my team together to develop skill and practice a very customer-focused brand of banking.
