Worked as part of the Prosecution Services Bureau where I traveled the State working on complex criminal cases. I helped in representing the State on a first of its kind civil case in which the State of Montana was being sued for a wrongful conviction. Additionally, in my role with the Attorney Generals Office I provided instruction at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy, I presented courses during the Basic Law Enforcement Academy, Public Safety Communicator Course, and the Law Enforcement Equivalency Course. I taught law enforcement officers and public service communicators a variety of topics including criminal law and procedure, constitutional law, search and seizure, use of force law, cultural diversity, report writing, and court procedures.

Teaching courses in criminal justice

Evaluate and Prosecute a wide array of criminal law cases. Review and evaluate misdemeanor and felony applications to the First Offender Drug Program, Give presentation to entrants into Deferred Prosecution Program. Over 60 jury trials, handled multiple other hearings in both Felony and Misdemeanor Courts. Prepared and presented over 400 cases to the grand jury. Part of the Intimate Partner Violence Team specializing in felony level intimate partner violence and related offenses. Also as part of the team, take part in a variety of local committees, counsels, and meetings related to assistance for victims and treatment for offenders. Working alongside law enforcement, first responders and medical staff in building strategies in responding to, investigation of and treatment of victims of Intimate Partner Violence specifically offenses involving strangulation. Take part in community outreach and education through speaking engagements to community groups and organizations.
