Term 1 - Compliance:I was tasked to test various components that ADTRAN implements in their systems for their breaking points while being surges. I used the dc and ac surge generators to see if they complied with the GR-1089.Term 2 - (OSP DSLAMS):I was able to work on ADTRAN's 1248V DSLAM. I completed design verification tests dealing with reset signals, set up and hold time measurements on multiple address and data buses, and jitter measurements on various clock signals. I was also able aid in the design of the splitter card for the ETSI version of the product.Term 3 - (FPGAs)I was able to learn VHDL the Linux operating system. I designed a Hardware test for the Nova FPGA image on a Xilinx Kintex 7. This test was able to run a BIST on the DDR3 memory, an internal bit error ratio test, and it was full of filler logic to draw maximum power and simulate switching. I was also given the opportunity to design a new version of the BIST the group was using. My new addition gave an option to run a test that would read and write to memory very rapidly, so that the scope could run a test to verify the memory complied with all the JEDEC specs.

I worked as a cashier, a produce clerk and a dairy clerk. I also worked the night shift sometimes stocking the shelves.
