Following my degree, I worked at the Co-Operative for a year, before finding a Customer Service Representative at AXA. Having this foot in the door has enabled me to slowly work my way up the company, through Underwriting to being a Software Tester. I have gained great experience through my various roles, communication skills, underwriting knowledge (including completing the IF1 for the CII Foundation in Insurance) and a great deal of testing knowledge. I have completed the ISTQB Foundation and worked on a large number of projects, across AXA's various brands and products. This has involved both manual testing and automated testing and I have also been part of the project management aspects that surround them, working to an Agile methodology so attending daily stand-ups, going through project estimation and kick-offs as well as retrospectives following the project.Eventually I decided to seek more challenging work, so I left AXA and began to work for Canopy. They are a company that work to help support Renters and Agents with all aspects of Renting and moving house. They also partner with some big names in the Credit industry to enable tracking Rent payments towards growing the Renter's credit score. I have been working with them for several months now and thoroughly enjoy the work I do with them and look forward to seeing where this journey will take me.
