With a passion for flavor and a creative talent for innovation, Michael turned his hand to the world of agave spirits in 2015 creating Storywood Tequila, the worlds first Tequila to be aged in Single Malt Whisky & Oloroso Sherry barrels. What started with a vision to bring two cultures together as one to educate the world on great sipping Tequila became the beginning of a movement in the agave category for barrel ageing. With 95% of the market at that time still very much blanco driven, Storywood single-handedly trail blazed the barrel aged movement before it was even a place where brands typically focused. Storywood work directly with some of the best distilleries in the world with a focus on quality and the many layers of flavor that comes with oak ageing. Our mission is to create some of the worlds finest oak aged Tequila creating a story of flavor from every barrel.
