I currently hold a Circulation Assistant II position in the Baltimore County Public Library System. Within this role I act as a point of contact for customers from a variety of backgrounds. Several of our customers are students, and I offer guidance when they are seeking out research materials. I also participate in outreach programs to promote the library and assist customers using public computers and other electronic resources. Up until the Fall of 2016 I held a position in T. Rowe Price’s 529 College Savings Plan Department where I assisted clients by performing trades and answering questions, ensuring that account holders comprehended the plan’s policies. I also trained newly hired associates, preparing them to effectively assist clients. I have also worked in T. Rowe Price’s Central Operations Department and Retail Investment Services Department. Before joining T. Rowe Price I worked as a ninth grade English teacher in Fort Meade and earned my Masters Degree in Communications at American University. In each of the positions I have held, I have effectively learned new systems and policies, employed excellent time management skills, and worked well both independently and in a group. I have also written and edited a novel which has recently been submitted to literary agents. Two of my short stories were published earlier this year.
