From the first time I sat down to play Odell Lake on an Apple II I knew then and there that I wanted a career involving technology.I've been a tech enthusiast for close to 20 years having dabbled in many areas along the way. I've worked in retail, manual labor, and even as a sleazy car salesman but once I got my foot in the IT door I haven't looked back. Pulling from those past experiences has made me into the nose-to-the-grindstone hard worker I am today. I thrive on deadlines and high pressure situations where my skills and instincts can truly take over allowing me to exhibit my mastery of the subject at hand. Being able to think on your feet, one of my greatest assets, allows for these high pressure situations to be dispersed effortlessly.My main focus as of late has been to break the stereotypes surrounding IT professionals. No longer can you be successful in this field without social skills and the ability to connect and empathize with clients. Even if I'm unable to fix their issue as long as the experience was positive for the client I've succeeded.I hope to carry this philosophy forward in my career, improving my skills and experience, and also positively influencing those I interact with on a daily basis. I crave to learn more, soaking in any relevant experiences I can along the way.
