I started at Cvent as the first member of the DBA team primarily focused on supporting Cvent's production systems. In my time there, Cvent evolved from a primarily SQL Server environment consisting of a couple dozen servers hosted entirely in Cvent's own data centers to an environment consisting of over 1000 servers of varying database platforms.

I worked on DoD projects while at ManTech. I started as a Web Developer using ASP.net, C# and SQL Server. I then transitioned to a DBA role running mission-critical production systems using SQL Server. I did code reviews and helped Developers to write highly efficient code. I solicited customer requirements and helped with the formal documentation.

Helped in the re-design of the company's internet sites. The sites consist of applications that allow users to query market research data. These sites used Visual Basic (VB) 6.0 COM objects to connect to SQL Server. Wrote and maintained several administrative tools to support day-to-day Internet and Intranet applications such as exporting data from SQL.

Developed an application that provided enhanced automated capabilities to maintain, track, and report the status of various administrative programs for the USDA. Developed programs to support the tracking and monitoring of employee training classes and educational seminars, motor vehicle inventories, and employee awards.

Responsibilities included the conversion of program code to the most recent version of Highland's proprietary document imaging software. Created custom applications ranging from simple data-entry and edit modules to full-fledged systems that tracked documents which were stored across multiple optical devices. Designed and developed the front-end GUI.

Responsible for the design and development of a GUI interface to support inventory tracking operations for the Egyptian Army. The system was developed in a Windows 3.11 environment using Microsoft Access (2.0). Coded, tested, and implemented programs that tracked all inventories entering and departing from Egypt.
