Providing site project management and setting out duties on the new build section of the College Gardens construction site in St Helier, Jersey. The project consists of the refurbishment of the old Jersey College for Girls into apartments as well as the construction of 5 additional new build blocks with an altogether total of 107 apartments. - Responsible for the front-line project management, ensuring the progress of civil activities- Providing line and level, bringing each apartment block out of the ground through to topping out the roof structure- I was an integral part of the team topping out all 5 of the new high-rise blocks within the project. The success of College Gardens has been predominantly down to how quickly, safely and efficiently the structures have been brought out of the ground, planned and sequenced to provide a seamless continuation for the follow-on trades and finishers

A complex activity involving the construction of RC trenches, manholes and road crossings timed to coincide with construction of the gas plant structures.- Supervision of operatives, subcontractors and section engineer.- Ordering materials and maintaining a 2 week programme.- Civil Quality Control Inspector within major gas plant construction involving inspection of concrete tanks, columns and wall foundations, access roads, underground drainage, buildings and landscaping. Ensuring works are carried out to the specification and Inspection and Test plan.- Taking the lead with the preparation and presentation of handover docs.

Falkland Islands (Malvinas)

Temporary 4 month placement working for Morrison (Falklands) in the Falkland Islands.Site management of a large building development constructing access roads installing all underground and overground services.Providing setting out duties to the building site and any other project run for the Morrison (Falkland) office including construction of foundation bases for a large mobile park site and setting out for the construction of 20no. government houses.Maintaining health and safety folder, site records, carrying out weekly tool box talks and maintaining health and safety on site.

Shetland Gas Plant (Part Of Total Contract Now Worth Over £2Bn)

Section engineer duties on major oil and gas project. Assisitng agents with the construction of complex underground service trenches, excavations, road crossings, concrete troughs and deep excavations for the installation of 1000's of metres of cabling and pipework throughout the whole of the Shetland Gas plant site.Ensuring correct permits, health and safety and quality docuements are in place before commencing works, taking off and ordering materials, supervising engineers, subcontractors and operatives. Maintaining a daily diary and general record keeping with an eye for commercially relevant information.
