When my friends and I attended the club fair as freshman, we were very excited to join a club related to entrepreneurship or starting your own business - but that club didn't exist. We got in contact with the Office of Student Involvement and learned about the steps required to start your own club. We were only in our first year, but it was something that we really wanted to do.We worked throughout the summer in order to get the club started for the upcoming school year - I personally drafted the society's constitution, by-laws, and budget proposal. We worked hard and weren't sure if people would want to join our club or come to our events - we took a risk.Now, the Villanova Entrepreneurship Society is one of the fastest growing clubs at Villanova, with over 300 members. Our society focuses on giving students real-world experience related to starting and owning your own business. We offer workshops throughout the semester, bring in both student and professional/experienced entrepreneurs, and hold competitions for students.

At RingLead, my role as a Finance Intern deals primarily with Accounts Receivable. I am tasked with making 100 calls a day, sending out emails, and updating billing contacts in our database. I work with Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and Quickboks. My long term goals at RingLead include reducing the outstanding accounts receivable balance by 50% and gaining sufficient experience to help me prepare for a career in accounting or finance after I graduate.
