Two of my greatest personal passions are problem solving and helping people. I am a self-motivated, driven individual who is always looking for the next challenge or problem to solve. I have grown immensely in my working skill sets and as a person during my current tenure.I first started at Palm Imaging, a network of three radiology clinics in the Inland Empire, in 2006 as a medical records technologist, where I was responsible for converting a library of thousands of physical radiologic films into a digital database, and for providing physical copies of medical records to our patients, where I discovered a talent for customer service and patient care. Eventually, I was asked to head the medical records department. I gained much valuable experience during this time, and was commended for my excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills. My personal journey then took an amazing turn, as I was asked to assist our then IT site manager as a Tier I support analyst. I learned the basics of networking, and was responsible for Tier I Help Desk tasks. During this time, I also worked to obtain a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics from California State University, San Bernardino, which I completed in June of 2020. After several years serving as Tier I support, I was asked to take over as IT site administrator. At this point, I became responsible for overseeing all IT responsibilities for three clinics comprising 100 users. I learned advanced networking skills, server administration, and instituted a number of policies and systems to improve day-to-day clinic operations. In October of 2020 my journey took another turn, when Palm Imaging was acquired by Loma Linda University Health Care. My years of experience allowed me tp play a key role during our transition to the LLUHC, working with a number of different IT teams, liaising frequently with LLUHC administration, and even working as an informal project manager, continuing to learn new skills along the way. Due to our unique networking needs as a radiology clinic, it was necessary to install a new network for LLUHC, as well as to keep most of our existing network infrastructure. I currently maintain this dual architecture, ensuring a high standard of care for our patient community as well as a stable environment for our end users, while at the same time constantly working to maintain and administer our network to the highest standards.My unique journey has made me the person I am today and I am ready to utilize this experience to continue to grow in a personal and professional capacity.
